The good news: No insults on the bus this morning. Yay! The less-good news: The woman standing next to me had sharp elbows and jabbed me in the ribs with one of them. Ow.

Commuting has now become an exercise in physical and mental self-defense. I'm surprised to see midwesterners acting like this, frankly. I think it's a bad sign. I am seriously considering a Ve$pa-like vehicle.

Also, still thinking about the cheesemaking business. Anyone know anything about cheesemaking? Anyone know a master cheesemaker who might be looking for an apprentice? I'm only half-kidding.
