I got contact lenses yesterday. My face is all naked now! I can't peek at people surreptitiously from behind my glasses any more, and I'm really going to miss that. *Snif.*

I was asked several times whether my lenses are colored. (They're not.) No, people, that's what my eyes look like! See how pretty? Pretty! A little eyeliner and presto! I'm a knockout.

I'm not sure exactly why I suddenly took a notion to go out and get contacts. I can't deny that I'm hoping I might look more attractive without the glasses, or more approachable, or something. I know it's pathetic. I can't help it right now. I'm a little lonely.
